Only the Best Quality Goes into the Can

Delivering top-quality products to our customers requires more than just overseeing raw materials and spice processing. Our HACCP analysis identified a heightened risk of contamination from metal, stone, and glass. Therefore, an inspection at the goods dispatch stage is essential to meet our quality standards.

When craftsmanship ends, End-of-Line Detection begins

After being filled into the green tinplate cans, the spices and spice blends are packed into cartons. The ready-to-ship cartons are then inspected for foreign bodies. The inspection is conducted with machine equipment, even though the "Alte Gewürzamt" is still a manufactory. 

Since customers' biggest concern is any possible contamination, highly efficient foreign body detection with X-ray technology is the right choice for the "Alte Gewürzamt". 

An X-ray device can detect all foreign bodies that absorb X-ray radiation better than the surrounding product due to their density, chemical composition, or mechanical dimensions.

Due to the thick bottoms or edges of metal cans, the edge filter was particularly important for "Alte Gewürzamt" 

This feature allows for inspecting the interior of the cans with higher sensitivity to achieve the best detection accuracy 

There are two zones: one at the edge, where inspection is conducted with lower sensitivity, while the other areas are inspected with higher sensitivity. The use of the edge filter makes it possible to detect contaminants in the filtered areas

The additional features and functions of the RAYCON were tested on-site with a demo unit. With sensitivity starting at 0.8 millimeters, it met customer expectations and, combined with expert on-site consultation, provided "Altes Gewürzamt" with the final reasons for their decision.
