The Danish company Fisker Skanderborg A/S, a supplier of packaging equipment, has sold two Sesotec VARICON COMPACT metal detection systems to P. Taabbel & Co. A/S in Northern Jutland. Taabbel processes a wide range of fish and shellfish into products for caterers both domestically and internationally. Taabbel's commitment is to produce food with consistently high quality standards that comply with current legal and regulatory food safety requirements, based on HACCP principles.

The VARICON COMPACT metal detection system from Sesotec consists of a tunnel metal detector, a conveyor belt, and evaluation electronics. When metal is detected, the removal process is initiated by stopping the belt.

VARICON COMPACT can be seamlessly integrated into existing production lines. With its high detection performance, it identifies various metallic foreign bodies in products, making it ideal for applications in the food industry.

Effective Protection for Consumers, Machinery, and Reputation

Sesotec's metal detection systems, designed for inspecting packaged goods after wrapping, weighing, or labeling, reliably protect manufacturers' and processors' products in the food industry from unwanted metal foreign bodies. The tunnel metal detector quickly and efficiently identifies metal particles within products, ensuring the safety of consumers, machinery, and the company's reputation.

The Solution for Taabbel in the Fish Industry

The two VARICON COMPACT metal detection systems were sold by Fisker Skanderborg A/S to P. Taabbel & Co. A/S in Northern Jutland. "Designed according to Hygienic Design standards, this solution meets the stringent demands of the food industry," was the compelling argument used by Fisker Sales Manager Flemming Foldager to win over his client, Taabbel.

For Per Toft, Technical Director at Taabbel, the quality and price of the metal detection systems were paramount. That's why he chose Sesotec's solution. "Recently, all our frozen fish products have been processed through the two Sesotec metal detectors. The user interface is intuitively designed, making it easy to learn. The VARICON COMPACT systems fully meet our expectations," says Per Toft.
