Social Media Privacy Information

Social Media Platforms

As part of our public relations efforts, we use the following social media platforms. You can find the respective privacy information of the platform operators here:

By using our presence on these social media platforms, your personal data is processed.

Types of Processed Personal Data

All personal data you post on our channels, such as images, photos, comments, and likes, are processed. Additionally, data processing includes all personal data you send us via the chat or messaging function of the individual social media platforms, particularly the date and time of the message, your username, and data related to the message content.

Data Processing by Social Media Platform Providers

The respective social media platform provider is independently responsible for processing the personal data of its users and processes the data for its own purposes and interests. You can find the respective privacy information of the platform operators in the list above.

We generally have no influence on the data processing by the respective platform operator. If we do have limited influence, we will choose the most privacy-friendly option. This mainly concerns visitor statistics for our presence, for which our company and the respective platform operator are jointly responsible.

Data Processing by Our Company

We use all personal data you post on our channels solely for our public relations efforts to operate our company's social media channels. This may include deleting some posts if necessary. Your data is not processed by our company for any other purposes.

The legal basis for processing is the legitimate interest in effective public relations and interaction with users of our social media presence according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms are not considered overriding, as you have voluntarily chosen this form of interaction and communication.

This legitimate interest in effective public relations also includes using visitor statistics for reach measurement.

Data you send us via the chat or messaging function of social media platforms is processed for the respective purpose of your contact. This includes responding to and forwarding your inquiries, applications, or comments. Data processing in our company follows the same principles as communication through our other communication channels.

The processing of this information is based on your consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, for contract fulfillment according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, for employment purposes according to § 26 BDSG, and based on our legitimate interest in effective public relations according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms are not considered overriding, as you have voluntarily chosen this form of interaction and communication.

Data Transfer to a Third Country

Please note that when using most social media platforms, the transfer of personal data to third countries, particularly the USA, cannot be excluded. The operators of the social media platforms used, based in the USA, are certified under the "EU-US Data Privacy Framework" (DPF). The DPF is an agreement between the European Union and the USA to ensure compliance with European data protection standards for data processing in the USA. Each company certified under the DPF is committed to adhering to these data protection standards. For more information, please refer to the provider at the following link: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/4452.

Secure Communication

We would like to point out that platform operators use web tracking and profiling systems that create extensive profiles of users on these platforms. However, we have no influence over these systems.

Furthermore, communication over the internet can never be completely secure. Therefore, please do not send us particularly sensitive data and personal information, especially applications, via our social media channels. You can always contact us through our other communication channels listed in the imprint.
