The Sesotec GmbH, based in Schönberg in Lower Bavaria, and Mobergs Produktkontroll AB in Sweden now announce, after over 35 years of successful sales and service partnership, the next level of mutual commitment: Mobergs will, as an official “Member of the Sesotec Group” and subsidiary of Sesotec GmbH, intensify its central role for sustainable growth in the Scandinavian region.

Existing and future customers benefit not only from the synergies of the two companies regarding technical and regional expertise in the field of Sesotec’s own systems for foreign object detection and material sorting, but in particular from the jointly gained experience and philosophy towards the highest customer satisfaction and best service within the food, plastics, and recycling industries.

“Our shared values, which have grown from our long-standing history together, were the foundation on both sides for this official step and our commitment to one another,” explains Joachim Schulz, CEO of Sesotec GmbH. “For Sesotec, being a reliable partner has always been a key principle. The long-standing collaboration with Mobergs is an outstanding example of such a lived partnership. We are therefore very pleased to begin an even closer cooperation with Fredrik Moberg and his team and welcome them as an integral member of the Sesotec Group. This commitment to Sesotec makes us and our employees very proud.”

Fredrik Moberg, founder and original owner of Mobergs Produktkontroll AB, will continue to take a leading role as managing director for the regional development of the company and lead the experienced team in the Scandinavian and, in the future, also in the Baltic countries into a strategically secured future.

Fredrik Moberg justifies his decision to integrate into the Sesotec Group with the sustainable viability of Mobergs Produktkontroll AB: “Throughout the more than 35-year partnership, Sesotec and Mobergs have always evolved in the same direction. Shared values and goals and mutual respect shape our relationships both internally and externally, so we always felt like partners on equal footing. With the process- and resource-related integration, we are now optimally positioning ourselves for the future to better meet the dynamically growing customer and market requirements. We benefit from the technical expertise at Sesotec and confront central future challenges with confidence, even benefiting from megatrends like Artificial Intelligence in terms of service and predictive maintenance. Thus, the decision was not only logical, but also important for the future development of Mobergs.”

Mobergs Produktkontroll AB will continue to operate under its established name, supplemented by the addition “Member of the Sesotec Group”. Sesotec’s own product range extends from foreign object detectors for the food and plastics industries to sorting systems for the recycling industry, as well as comprehensive service offerings and software solutions. Mobergs’ existing partnerships with other brands will remain unchanged. Customers can continue to rely on receiving products and services of the usual high quality.

Through the merging of resources and the use of synergies between both companies, Sesotec will further strengthen its position in the Scandinavian and Baltic markets. “The merger of the companies brings numerous advantages for the customers of Mobergs. The combination of our technological expertise and services with the market knowledge and the regional presence of Mobergs will elevate the customer experience to a new level,” emphasizes Dietmar Dieing, as Vice President Sales Plast, fully responsible for corporate development in the Scandinavian and Baltic region.

“Even better together” as an integration philosophy: For Mobergs and Sesotec, all partners and customers

To make the transition as easy as possible for all internal parties and customers, the integration process is characterized by two goals: to strengthen the sense of belonging of the Mobergs team to Sesotec and to maintain the trust that customers and partners have so far placed in Mobergs and Sesotec. Dietmar Dieing and Fredrik Moberg unanimously emphasize this: “At the same time, we want to reaffirm our commitment to all our partners. With this integration, we want to enhance our joint capabilities. Through collaboration, we aim to offer even greater value to all our customers. We will continue to support all our partners and ensure that they can continue to grow and thrive in their respective markets.”

The first major joint appearance of the two companies will take place in October 2024 at Scanpack in Gothenburg.
