The complete systems consisting of vibration
chute, X-ray scanner and reject system can be integrated straight away into any
production line. They are user-friendly and comply with all key standards in
the food industry. In optimal fashion, the inspected bulk goods make their way
separately onto the conveyor belt by way of a vibration chute. After
inspection, contaminants are removed from the product flow with pinpoint
accuracy through reject flaps. This set-up provides reliable protection against
customer complaints paired with minimal loss of material.

Bulk goods are transferred evenly and continuously onto the conveyor belt by way of a vibration chute.
A flat conveyor belt moves the product being inspected evenly through the X-ray beam, which means it is possible to scan products in rows.
The X-rays are electrically generated in the X-ray tube. They leave the tube through a narrow slit and penetrate the bulk goods being inspected from bottom to top as a fan-shaped beam. Depending on the product’s height and density, some of the X-rays are absorbed by the product.
The linear detector line installed above the conveyor belt converts the radiation that reaches it into an electrical signal from which a digital image is created.
This is where the X-ray image is analyzed for contaminants and other product defects.
