From bottle sorting through to high-sensitivity PET flake separation – Sesotec covers the complete range of contaminant separation and material flow sorting systems. Sesotec systems feature a modular design, which means that for every application the optimal components can be combined in a system.
The single-layer, single-face ELS detector is used for examining individually packed products and bulk materials on a conveyor belt or a material chute, preferably with a low material height. It detects all magnetic and non-magnetic metal contaminations (steel, stainless steel, aluminium) – even if enclosed in the product. On detection of metal, a signal device and a separation system can be activated or a signal can be sent to process controlling.
For the separation of ferrous contaminants, plate magnets are installed in a continuous material flow above conveyor lines, in free fall, under chutes and slides, etc.
Applying efficient neodymium magnet with a remanence of 1.200 mT (12.000 Gauß) ferromagnetic particles are reliably separated,which reduces the risk of expensive repairs and plant downtimes. The rotating drum shell is equipped with cleats that continuously strip off all the magnetic contaminants from the system. The rotary motion of the drum shell transports these ferrous materials out of the magnet range where they fall off via a diverter shield.
Permanent magnetic head rollers are designed to replace the drive roller at the discharge end of belt conveyors. This primary system removes coarse and medium-sized ferrous contaminants.
