Professional metal separators for professional plastics machinery
At the FAKUMA 2012 S+S for the first time
presents the Protector Professional
|At FAKUMA 2012, which will be held in Friedrichshafen from 16 to 20 October 2012, S+S Separation and Sorting Technology GmbH, hall B1, stand 1302, is showing metal separators and magnet systems that ensure increased efficiency in injection moulding, blow moulding, and extrusion applications.
The showpiece is the new Protector Professional metal separator. Christian Stadler, S+S product manager, says: "The Protector Professional was specifically designed for the detection of metal particles even under the most difficult mechanical conditions. The new Protector Professional provides a 25 percent higher scanning sensitivity than the standard Protector. With its strong construction heavy conveying, mixing, dosing, and feeding units weighing up to 500 kg can be mounted above the Protector Professional, without any reduction in the performance of the system."
|S+S Protector metal separators are installed directly on the material inlet of injection-moulding machines, where they separate metal particles from the slow moving feed material column. They also remove metals from free-falling granulate during initial filling and re-filling. Christian Stadler: "S+S metal separators provide maximum machine protection and prevent screw conveyor crashes, choked nozzles, and mould damage. Protector metal separators guard against machine malfunctions and help increase efficiency in plastics processing."
S+S will also present magnet separators primarily used for pre-separation where there is a high level of contamination with ferrous metals. Magnet separators installed upstream of inductive metal separators remove ferrous metals and thus ease the burden on inductive separation. Pre-separation offers the advantage of reduced losses of good material.
Metal detectors for integration in conveyor belts, and metal separators for vacuum and pressure conveying lines, complete the S+S product portfolio at FAKUMA.
Information about plastics sorting
"Sorting of secondary plastics" currently is an important topic. With technologies for example for the sorting of colours and plastics by type S+S has a leading position in this field. On 16 and 17 October 2012 S+S experts are available to answer any questions and discuss customer applications. Visit www.sesotec.com/appointment_fakuma to arrange an appointment.
