The single-layer plate-type PT metal detector is used for the
inspection of individually packed products and bulk materials
on a conveyor belt or a material chute, preferably with low
material height.
It detects all magnetic and non-magnetic metal contaminations
(steel, stainless steel, aluminium …) – even if
such contaminations are enclosed in the product.
When a metal is detected a signalling device or a separating
unit can be activated, or a signal can be sent to the process
control system.
